Responsible for collecting daily eggs, maintain animal welfare requirements, including attention to adequate feed, light, air, water, space and sanitation, ensure high quality working conditions, follow detailed protocol with flocks. Maintain daily documentation of husbandry work, communicate with farm supervisor, organizational skills and maintain cleanliness. Comply with OSHA, biosecurity and welfare regulations. Must work weekend rotation shift. Ability to lift, push and pull 20-50+ pounds. Computer knowledge and ability to use computer-based equipment. Hands on experience related to farm animals. Globally oversee all live animal production and processes on the farm. Work with on-site farm manager to assist in veterinary services and procedures as needed. Continuously monitor turkey health and opportunities for improvement relating to weight gain, gut health, etc. Oversee and manage 3rd party audits for live production. Accompany farm managers routinely to ensure day to day policies are being followed. Assist bio-security manager in internal audits and further refining the current program.
